Zack Allen
Zack is the President, overseeing daily operations, business growth and helping clients achieve that special look they want with their floor covering. He has worked in the family business, Buddy Allen Carpet One, since he was 17 years old where he started as an installer’s assistant. From there, he has worked in every aspect of the flooring industry alongside his father Gary Allen. Zack is active in many community organizations and regularly attends conferences to stay abreast of emerging trends in flooring. When he isn’t working, you can find him enjoying the outdoors with friends and entertaining his two young daughters.

Ellen Lingenfelter
Ellen Lingenfelter has worked in the flooring industry since she was 17 years old. Before joining Buddy Allen Carpet One in early 2011, she worked at a Carpet One Cooperative in Warner Robins, GA. Ellen is active in Donelson-Hermitage Women in Business and serves as the Vice President of the Middle Tennessee Flooring Association (MFTA). When she isn’t meeting with Buddy Allen customers, Ellen enjoys preparing delicious meals, exercising her vocal talents and seeing live music!

Julie Smiertka
Julie Smiertka is our Interior Designer and has been at Buddy Allen since October 2012. Julie comes from Michigan, where she graduated from Adrian College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. She was excited to study abroad in London, England for her internship where she worked with restaurant and bar design. Julie is an active member of the Nashville chapter of American Society of Interior Designers. When Julie is not busy designing, she spends her time exercising, traveling and listening to live music.
Favorite Flooring: Bamboo and Cork.
Barbara Boyce
Barbara Boyce has served as Buddy Allen Carpet One’s Office Manager for 4 years. From accounts-payable and payroll to billing and front desk, Barbara has nearly 20 years of experience in most aspects of office management. She spends her free time making memories with her family and going places with lab named Jaxson.
